Crowns of Nyaxia Books in Order

Crowns of Nyaxia by Carissa Broadbent is a dark fantasy romance series set in a world ruled by a vampire god whose absence has left her children — three vampire houses — in perpetual conflict, with human slaves caught in the crossfire. Oraya, a human girl raised in the Nightborn vampire court, enters a brutal tournament where the prize is power enough to change everything — and finds her most dangerous enemy becoming something she cannot afford him to be.

Broadbent writes with cinematic darkness and genuine romantic tension. The enemies-to-lovers dynamic between Oraya and Raihn is built on real conflict — structural opposition that makes their attraction genuinely dangerous rather than conventionally dramatic. The tournament structure provides natural narrative propulsion while the mythology deepens across the series.

The series became a significant BookTok success, praised for its atmosphere, its morally complex characters, and its willingness to take the darkness of its premise seriously while still delivering the emotional satisfactions of romance. Broadbent is a writer who understands that genuine stakes make romantic payoffs meaningful.

Begin with The Serpent and the Wings of Night and read in order — the overarching story and romantic arc develop continuously. Fans of Jennifer L. Armentrout, Holly Black, and dark vampire romance with genuine world-building ambition will find Crowns of Nyaxia a compelling and immersive series.
