Famous Character Created by J.K. Rowling

Biography

Harry James Potter is the iconic protagonist of J.K. Rowling’s legendary fantasy series, a global symbol of courage and resilience. Born to Lily and James Potter in Godric's Hollow, his life was defined by a prophecy identifying him as the one with power to vanquish Lord Voldemort. After his parents were murdered, Harry survived a killing curse that left him with a lightning-bolt scar and the title of "The Boy Who Lived."

Raised by the magic-hating Dursleys, Harry’s life changed on his eleventh birthday when he discovered his wizarding heritage and began his education at Hogwarts. Alongside best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, he faced numerous trials, from battling mountain trolls to competing in the dangerous Triwizard Tournament. As the Second Wizarding War intensified, Harry took on the burden of hunting Voldemort’s Horcruxes, leading to the final Battle of Hogwarts where his willing sacrifice broke the Dark Lord’s power. Following his ultimate victory, Harry became an Auror and the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. He married Ginny Weasley, continuing the Potter legacy as a beacon of heroism and peace.
